1
00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:09.500
In Rotterdam, RET enforcement officers Jill
and Paul are checking tickets on the tram.

2
00:00:09.800 --> 00:00:12.900
This time they're not in uniform,
but in plain clothes.

3
00:00:13.080 --> 00:00:17.900
Passengers have to check in as soon as they board,
or buy a ticket from the driver.

4
00:00:18.240 --> 00:00:20.700
Once the tram has left the stop, it's too late.

5
00:00:20.720 --> 00:00:22.900
But you have to check in
the moment you get on.

6
00:00:22.920 --> 00:00:24.500
Yes, I was about to get it out.

7
00:00:24.960 --> 00:00:29.700
The tram has already been
running for a few minutes.

8
00:00:30.000 --> 00:00:33.500
I was holding the door and reaching into
my pocket, and you came straight at me.

9
00:00:33.640 --> 00:00:34.100
No.

10
00:00:34.720 --> 00:00:36.700
I was watching you.
I never saw you check in.

11
00:00:37.300 --> 00:00:41.100
I had my hands full, you see?
So I reached into my pocket.

12
00:00:41.180 --> 00:00:44.800
Either way, you've now been found
without a valid ticket.

13
00:00:45.100 --> 00:00:47.900
You've been stopped,
and you'll be issued a fine.

14
00:00:48.240 --> 00:00:51.500
Do you have any ID on you?

15
00:00:51.500 --> 00:00:52.900
Yes, I have it with me.

16
00:00:56.620 --> 00:00:58.800
And if you pay the fine
straight away, it's 40 euros.

17
00:00:58.920 --> 00:00:59.900
No, I don't have that.
