Product updates, WE BUILD workshop recap & Business Wallets in Action preview
Our August newsletter covers new Business Wallet interoperability and credential management capabilities, a WE BUILD workshop recap from San Sebastian, and a preview of Business Wallets in Action on 15 September.

Welcome to the August edition of the Credenco Newsletter!
July has been another productive month for Credenco and the European Digital Identity ecosystem. From advancing the WE BUILD Consortium project and expanding our Business Wallet platform with new capabilities to preparing for Business Wallets in Action, we've continued to turn digital trust into practical, interoperable solutions.
In this edition, we highlight our latest product developments, share updates from the WE BUILD consortium, provide an overview of upcoming activities, and give you a preview of Business Wallets in Action, where the European Business Wallet ecosystem comes together to demonstrate what's possible in practice.
Highlights
- WE BUILD Consortium Workshop (14-16 July): we joined the WE BUILD BU2 workshop in San Sebastian, where consortium partners completed the design phase, kicked off implementation, aligned on the target architecture, and showcased the first working Business Registry integrations with Wallet solutions. Another important step towards interoperable European Business Wallets.
Product Updates
- Improved Wallet Interoperability & Authentication: we've expanded interoperability across the Business Wallet ecosystem with support for non-interactive authentication, OpenID4VP integration through the Professional Wallet, automatic Business Wallet linking in the mobile app, and enhanced compatibility with the HAIP profile, including support for Norwegian and EU reference wallets and OpenID4VCI compliance.
- Enhanced Credential Management: managing credentials has become more intuitive across both the Business Wallet and mobile app. Users can now view received credentials directly in the Business Wallet, access an overview of Business Wallet credentials in the mobile app, and benefit from an automatically populated credential catalog powered by the FIDES API.
- Real-Time Integration Events: the Business Wallet now emits real-time events for credential issuance, revocation, receipt, and verification. These standardized integration events make it easier to connect external systems and keep business processes synchronized automatically.
- Improved Mobile Experience: we've introduced deep link support and additional enhancements to the mobile experience, making it easier to navigate between applications and interact seamlessly with the Business Wallet.
- OpenID Federation Simplified: we've continued improving our OpenID Federation implementation to make joining federations easier. Organisations can now clearly see each federation's policy requirements and decide which requirements to accept, reducing implementation complexity and improving interoperability across different federation implementations.
- Automatic Credential Registry Synchronisation: we've introduced support for importing and synchronising external credential registries, including the WE BUILD credential type registry. Credential templates now stay automatically aligned with their source, eliminating manual updates and making credential management more efficient.
- Business Wallet Synchronization: users can now securely sync their Business Wallet with the mobile app, enabling seamless access to business credentials and a more connected wallet experience.
Business Wallet Event
The programme for Business Wallets in Action on 15 September in Utrecht is nearly complete. Together with FIDES Labs, Sphereon, and Digidentity, we're bringing together live demonstrations, practical use cases and expert sessions to showcase how Business Wallets are already transforming onboarding, KYC, eGovernment, supply chains, and more.
We're also excited to welcome Kristian T. Sørensen (IN Groupe) as a speaker, sharing Nordic insights into the future of Business Wallets and delegated rights.
Finally, our Credenco Personal and Business Wallet and several Credenco use cases are participating in the FIDES Community Awards 2026. Winners are determined by 50% expert jury evaluation and 50% community voting, so we'd greatly appreciate your support.

Our People
A special thank you to Dani Klaver for her work integrating the Credenco Personal Wallet with the Credenco Business Wallet.
Over the past period, Dani has focused on bridging our personal and business wallet solutions into a single, seamless experience. Through this integration, the Personal Wallet effectively becomes a Professional Wallet, allowing users to receive, manage, and share both personal and company credentials using only their mobile phone. It's an important step that makes working with the Business Wallet more seamless and even more user-friendly, removing friction for end users and strengthening the connection across the Credenco ecosystem.
This achievement reflects Dani's technical skill, persistence, and eye for a smooth user experience. Innovation is driven by people who continuously look for better ways to solve challenges, and Dani has certainly set a great example through her dedication and user-focused approach.
