Company Passport at the Nederland Digitaal Festival
Five years of findings and a working demo, 19 November

Credenco contributed to Company Passport, a five-year programme set up to make starting and running a Dutch company far less paperwork-heavy. On 19 November the team presents its findings at the Nederland Digitaal Festival.
Setting up a BV, opening a business bank account, and not having to supply the same details over and over again. Why is that still not much simpler? With Company Passport the consortium spent five years exploring how it can be done more intelligently, more quickly and more reliably.
The same parties keep reappearing in that process: the notary, KVK, the Belastingdienst and the bank. Each of them asks for company data that an authentic source has already registered, and each of them then repeats its own KYB checks on it. Issuing that data once as verifiable credentials that a company keeps in its own Business Wallet removes the re-keying and the re-checking in one step.
At the Nederland Digitaal Festival the team shares its most important insights and lessons. Above all, it shows what is already possible, and not with a demo that only works on screen. Visitors see a genuinely working application for retrieving and sharing digital company data, running in a live test environment that they can start using themselves afterwards.
What that adds up to for a founder:
- Faster: from paperwork to a registered BV in a day.
- Less paper: company data is retrieved instead of re-entered.
- More trust: every party can verify the data it receives.
Curious what is already possible and what the programme learned along the way? The breakout session is on 19 November. The full programme and registration are on the Nederland Digitaal Festival programme page.
