Credenco Newsletter April 2026

Welcome to the April edition of the Credenco Newsletter — your monthly update on the latest progress, product developments, and activities across the Credenco ecosystem.

This month we feature key milestones in interoperability, including DIIP v5 and WE BUILD ITB compliance, alongside consortium workshops, product improvements, and ongoing developments around trust frameworks and digital identity innovation across Europe.

Highlights

At the WE BUILD Consortium BU2 workshop in Berlin, hosted by D-Trust and Bolagsverket, partners aligned on key topics in the specification phase, including cross-border company branch creation. We also achieved DIIP v5 compliance — an important step toward full interoperability — by implementing and testing OpenID for Verifiable Credential Issuance and Presentation via the FIDES Integrated Test Bed. In parallel, we achieved compliance with the WE BUILD Integrated Test Bed (ITB), confirming alignment with project requirements and supporting reliable cross-border interoperability.

During the WE BUILD on-site meeting at the Rotterdam Seaport Terminal, co-hosted by Secure Logistics BV, we gained valuable insights into real-world logistics processes and explored how wallet solutions can be applied in practice. We also took time to connect as a team outside of work with a day of quad riding, clay pigeon shooting, and dinner & drinks together.

Product Updates

We've introduced a new set of Management APIs that make it easier to manage users, roles, trusted contacts and public profiles programmatically. We've added support for Google Cloud KMS with new documentation, as well as support for X509 and JWK identifiers alongside our existing DID types. The onboarding flow in the Business Wallet has been completely redesigned and now integrates with the business registries — try it out by creating a new wallet.

Save the date

On 2 April we join the BLSP event on developments and collaboration in the digital identity landscape. On 16–17 April we host a two-day on-site workshop in Frankfurt to finalise the PA3 use case specifications as part of WE BUILD.
