The latest proposal for the European Business Wallet introduces something crucial: mandate and role management inside the wallet. Companies will be able to assign roles, grant representation rights, and manage mandates digitally.
This marks a clear shift: from a digital identity tool to a digital operating system for governance, compliance, and transactions.
Interestingly, the connection with Digital Product Passports (DPPs) is also becoming clearer, linking identity, roles, and data across the value chain.
With initiatives like the WE BUILD Consortium, TEMPO in de Bouw, and TruPass, it is great to see that we are already working on these new developments. It feels like we are on the right track.
