Welcome to the June edition of the Credenco Newsletter, your monthly update on the latest progress, product developments, and activities across the Credenco ecosystem.

Each month, we highlight key milestones, introduce new features, and share ways to engage with our community and initiatives.

This month, we feature major product launches and improvements, including the release of our renewed Personal Wallet, a refreshed Business Wallet experience and more. Alongside product progress, we highlight key consortium activities, upcoming industry events, and continued developments in interoperability and digital trust across Europe.

Highlights

• Personal Wallet now available: Our renewed Personal Wallet is now officially available in the App Store and Play Store. With a refreshed interface and a more intuitive experience, managing digital identity, credentials, and data has become simpler than ever. Designed to work seamlessly together with our Business Wallet, it connects people and organisations in one trusted ecosystem, from personal identity to professional roles and mandates.
• Business Wallet UI refresh: We've introduced an updated look and feel for the Business Wallet, designed to make the experience cleaner, more intuitive, and easier to navigate. From onboarding to managing credentials and organisational data, the refreshed interface improves usability while keeping the same trusted functionality at its core.

Product Updates

• Event-based integration support: We've made it easier for systems to stay in sync with the Business Wallet by introducing real-time updates through integrations. Instead of repeatedly checking for changes, your systems can now automatically receive updates the moment something happens in the wallet, such as when a new credential is created or a new identifier is added. This means you always work with up-to-date information without manual effort or delays. The updates are sent in a standard format that can be easily understood by many different systems, making it simple to connect the Business Wallet to your existing tools. Depending on your setup, you can receive these updates directly via webhooks or through messaging systems like Kafka and JMS. This makes integrations faster to set up, easier to maintain, and more reliable for everyday use.
• DID WebVH support added: We've added support for DID WebVH in our Business Wallet, enabling organisations to manage digital identities in a more transparent and trustworthy way. By creating a verifiable history of identity changes, organisations gain more control, stronger security, and greater confidence in digital interactions.
• Improved verification and wallet management: We've simplified verifier setup by replacing manual identifier input with easy selection options, while also improving cross-device verification flows so credentials shared via QR code appear automatically without requiring a refresh.
• Security, transparency and documentation enhancements: We've introduced additional security standards aligned with the HAIP profile for OpenID4VCI, supporting more secure and interoperable credential exchange. In addition, users can now preview requested attribute values before sharing them in the Personal Wallet, and our documentation has been refreshed to match the new Business Wallet experience.

Save the Date

• 2 June: We will be joining the ECP symposium on the European Business Wallet (EBW), organised together with the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. The event brings together public and private stakeholders to explore how Business Wallets can enable trusted data exchange, onboarding, verification, and digital contracting across Europe, with practical examples and discussions on real-world adoption.
• 9–10 June: We will be attending Identity Week Europe in Amsterdam, one of the leading events focused on identity, trust, and secure digital interactions. Bringing together governments, enterprises, and technology providers, the event explores topics such as digital identity, authentication, KYC, eIDAS, secure credentials, and the future of trusted digital ecosystems.
• 10–11 June: We will join the WE BUILD Consortium workshop in Amsterdam to continue shaping the future of the European Business Wallet and cross-border digital trust. Over two days, consortium partners will align on key building blocks for interoperability, covering topics such as identity matching, trust infrastructure, automation, mandates, and wallet security, with a focus on practical and reusable solutions.
• 22–24 June: We will be joining Digital Identity unConference Europe (dice) in Copenhagen, a leading European event bringing together governments, enterprises, and innovators working on the future of digital identity. Through collaborative sessions and practical discussions, the event focuses on topics such as digital wallets, interoperability, trust infrastructure, and real-world implementation of digital identity across Europe.

Over the past months, Martijn has been instrumental in automating a growing number of recurring tasks across our organisation through the effective use of AI agents. From supporting routine development work and lifecycle management processes to streamlining grant discovery, penetration testing, and accessibility testing, his initiatives are helping our team operate more efficiently and focus on higher-value activities.

Innovation is often about finding smarter ways to work, and Martijn continues to lead by example. It's great to see the expertise, curiosity, and collaborative spirit that continue to drive innovation across the Credenco ecosystem.
