Digital identity isn’t the future, it’s happening now!

Last week, we joined the VNG (Vereniging van Nederlandse Gemeenten) working conference on the European Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet, diving into how municipalities can use digital credentials to make life easier for citizens. From digital city passes to automated income support applications and proof of registration, the potential is huge.

The challenge? Municipalities leading as issuers and pilots that show what works in practice. Over the past year, Credenco ran a pilot with the digital Certificate of Conduct (VOG) for sports associations, proving that secure, automated verification makes processes faster, safer, and more reliable.
