Credenco brings automated processing of Verifiable Credentials a step further

Updated: Aug 31, 2022

Within the framework of the ESSIF program of the European Union, Credenco is developing new applications for Verifiable Credentials, opening new doors for digital identification and the provision of digital certificates.

Credenco is an ambitious organization that has achieved its first successes with a successful trajectory in which a digital version of the BOA was recently tested at the RET, and is well on its way to becoming a serious player in the field of fraud-resistant and privacy protection. friendly solutions with innovative technology for various topics. Such as optimizing access to a certain area or the automated validation of documents that are necessary to perform certain activities. We are convinced that our solution can be easily integrated into existing processes and applications, making data sharing faster, easier and more secure to organize.

The first product developed together with Justis, INSIGNE, is a digital privacy-respecting and tamper-resistant identification card based on open standards. This app was used in practice by BOAs to identify themselves digitally last year, but it can of course also be used in comparable situations at other organizations.

Based on the same technology, Credenco is now supported by the eSSIF-Lab, a program of the European Union, to realize a solution for issuing, revoking and automated validation of a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).

Credenco also received this grant to research the applicability of new and secure SSI technology within different types of organizations. Based on the outcome, the solution, which is in line with open W3C standards for issuing and validating certificates, will be further optimized. This solution will soon also link up with eIDAS 2.0, where the necessary legislation is currently being finalized, which is aimed at making cross-border transactions more secure. Do you see opportunities within your organization? Then we would like to start a conversation to explore together how this fits in with the needs of your organization.

This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme within the framework of the ESSIF-Lab Project funded under grant agreement No 871932.
