Welcome to the newest edition of the Credenco Newsletter, our monthly update on the latest progress, product developments, and activities across the Credenco ecosystem.
This month, we feature important consortium workshops, Business Wallet advancements, platform improvements, and the completion of the Company Passport project, all reflecting our continued focus on delivering interoperable, trusted digital identity solutions across Europe.
Highlights
OpenID Federation Trust Layer – We are exploring how OpenID Federation can be used to establish a robust trust layer for the Business Wallet, enabling dynamic trust through trust chains, trust anchors, and entity statements. The goal is to move beyond manual configurations toward a scalable, secure, and standards-based trust model. OpenID Federation will be introduced as an additional trust framework option within our Business Wallet, complementing the existing support for EBSI, ETSI Trust Lists, and local trust lists.
Company Compass Project Completed – The development of the Company Passport Process Guidance solution has been successfully completed, resulting in a fully integrated web-based application connected to the Business Wallet and sandbox environment to support trusted digital business processes. The application guides entrepreneurs through key business workflows and demonstrates how Personal and Business Wallets can be integrated into real-world applications. It extends the OpenID4VCI and OpenID4VP specifications to enable automated issuance and secure data sharing, while ensuring that entrepreneurs remain in full control of their data.
Product Updates
Google KMS Support – Support for Google Cloud Key Management Service (KMS) has been added to strengthen cryptographic key management. This enables secure key storage and signing operations using enterprise-grade infrastructure.
New Settings Page – A redesigned settings page has been introduced to provide clearer configuration options and improved user control. The update simplifies wallet management and makes key features more accessible.
Verifier Templates Enhancements – Credenco’s Business Wallet now offers an even more user-friendly way to configure Verifier Templates, making secure data exchange between individuals and organisations simpler than ever. In addition to selecting credentials from the credential catalog, you can now easily choose the specific attributes to be shared. There is no longer any need to define complex DCQL queries — simply select the attributes you require.
